	Brad H. Lewis, MD Dr. Lewis is Medical Director of Machaon Diagnostics, Inc. and oversees all laboratory-testing operations. He is board certified in hematology, internal medicine and as a medical examiner. Named one of The Best Doctors in America(Woodward/ White Publishing 1996), Dr. Lewis lectures within the University of California at Berkeley and UCSF, and he directs the Department of Hematology at San Francisco General Hospital. In addition, he maintains a private practice specializing in hematology and is an oncology consultant for the East Bay AIDS Center. Dr. Lewis holds a BS in History from MIT, an MA from Brandeis University and an MD from the UCLA School of Medicine. top
	Michael P. Ero, MLS(ASCP), CLS(CA), MBA Mr. Ero is President, CEO and laboratory manager of Machaon Diagnostics. He is a California-licensed clinical laboratory scientist and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) as a Medical Technologist. Mr. Ero is the previous vice president and clinical chemistry supervisor of the Coagulation Center, Inc. of Oakland, California where he oversaw business strategy, marketing, network administration, lab operations and client services. His efforts led to the international recognition of this lab for esoteric coagulation and platelet testing. Michael Ero has over 2 dozen publications in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis and has presented his work at national and international scientific meetings. He is currently an adjunct instructor at the School of Medical Technology at Michigan State University. He has held past clinical- and research-focused positions with The Scripps Research Institute, Loyola University Medical Center and the University of Illinois, Chicago. Michael Ero holds a BS in Medical Technology from Michigan State University and received his medical technology training for ASCP certification and CA licensure from Loyola University Medical Center’s School of Medical Technology. He also holds an entrepreneurial-focused MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. top
	Tamara Mihailovski, MLS(CM-ASCP), CLS(CA), MSCLS Ms. Mihailovski is a technical supervisor and a founding member of Machaon Diagnostics. Her previous appointments include technical consultant/ clinical laboratory scientist of Dr. Strieff’s laboratory and clinical/ research laboratory scientist with the Coagulation Center, Inc. of Oakland, California. Ms. Mihailovski has been involved in clinical hematology and oncology for the last 15 years and oversees the genetic- and ELISA-based testing of Machaon Diagnostics. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and a masters in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of California, San Francisco. Ms. Mihailovski is a California -licensed and NCA certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist. top
	Connie Ng, MLS(ASCP), CLS(CA) Connie Ng joined Machaon Diagnostics as a clinical laboratory scientist in the spring of 2011. She is the newest member of our team. Ms. Ng holds a BS in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and is a California licensed clinical laboratory scientist. top
	Elizabeth Bantugan, Billing Specialist Elizabeth Bantugan recently joined Machaon Diagnostics as a billing associate. Her primary duties consist of processing and submitting insurance claims, generating client/patient invoices, and handling accounts receivable. Other duties include working on various projects that contribute to the overall efficiency of our laboratory. Ms. Bantugan is currently studying Accounting and Finance California State University, East Bay. top
	Sheila Flaherty, CLS(CA) Ms. Flaherty brings 38 years of esoteric clinical coagulation testing experience to Machaon Diagnostics. She is the former laboratory manager of the Coagulation Center, Inc. of Oakland, California where she worked in coagulation and platelet diagnostics laboratory testing from 1974 to 2003. Prior to that, Ms. Flaherty held thrombosis-related research positions with San Francisco General Hospital and UCSF Medical Center from 1965 to 1974. Ms. Flaherty holds a BS in Biology from the University of Michigan and received her laboratory medicine training from Hahneman Hospital in San Francisco, California. top
	Crystal Ballard, MLS(ASCP) Crystal Ballard joined Machaon Diagnostics in July of 2008. She has joined our team at the level of marketing associate/research associate and her primary duties involve business development, quality management and contract research. Mrs. Ballard holds a BS in Medical Technology from West Virginia University, and received her Medical Technology training from Ruby Memorial Hospital and Sistersville General Hospital. She is a medical technologist, nationally certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). top
	Nathan Harvey, Research Coordinator Nathan Harvey joined Machaon Diagnostics in 2009. He is currently a research coordinator in our laboratory after working as a lab assistant. His primary duties include assay development, reagent preparation, contract research, and clinical trial management. Mr. Harvey holds a BS in Medical and Public Health Microbiology with a minor in Biology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Nathan enjoys clinical chemistry, theater, outdoor sports, and coaching softball. top
	Timothy Shurtleff, Client Services Associate Timothy Shurtleff joined Machaon Diagnostics in the Fall of 2010. As Client Services Associate, his primary duties entail marketing, customer communications, research, database management, and quality control. Mr. Shurtleff holds a BA in Psychology and a BA in Business Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara. He is currently attending California State University, East Bay for his Masters in Public Administration. His previous employment includes the City of Livermore Housing and Human Services Division and the Oakland-based nonprofit First Place for Youth. Timothy enjoys hiking, backpacking, traveling, and sports. top
